The exhibit was packed full of visitors. It was an amazing display. I can't even put in to words what it was like. Each section was like walking into another themed imaginary world right out of McQueen's mind. There was music, sound effects, some had a cool breeze blowing thorough but each took you to a different place where these looks existed. It was just simply amazing. We actually went through the exhibit twice. It was so packed full of people we went through one side of the exhibit and then back through again down the other side. It's an experience I will never forget!
I will share a link to the MET's blog that has information about the show, photos of the exhibit and also some really interesting video about McQueen if you are interested in seeing more http://blog.metmuseum.org/alexandermcqueen/about/
While at the MET we also checked out a small portion of the Egyptian artifacts collection which was really awesome. My favorite was seeing the Temple of Dendur. It is over 2,000 years old and is probably the closest I will ever get to being in Egypt! It was given to the US by Egypt in 1965 and has been in the MET since 1967. It was really amazing to see and such a neat display!
